PUPPY GUARANTEE |
|
|
Black Powder Retrievers goes to great lengths to produce healthy and sound Puppies. This Guarantee covers any genetic problem which prevents the Puppy from being certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) or the Canine Eye Registration Foundation (CERF). The general health of all Puppies purchased from Black Powder Retrievers is guaranteed for a period of 5 days after receipt of the Puppy from our Kennel. This does not include any accidents or negligence on the part of the Purchaser. Within the first 5 days of receipt of the Puppy the Buyer shall have the Puppy undergo a thorough exam by a Veterinarian at the expense of the Buyer. If there is a problem that cannot be rectified, the Buyer may ship the Puppy to us on the day following the Veterinarian's exam (must be within 5 days) with a Veterinary Certificate for a full refund of the purchase price. Black Powder Retrievers will guarantee to the age of 26 months against Hip Dysplasia and Hereditary Eye Disease that would not enable the Puppy to receive an OFA or CERF number. In the event the Puppy is unable to receive a number by OFA or CERF the following steps must be taken to obtain a refund: If determined to be mildly or moderately dysplastic by the OFA the Buyer of the Puppy is entitled to a refund of half (50%) the original purchase price by furnishing the Seller documents from the OFA stating such condition along with Veterinarian Certificate that the Pup has been spayed/neutered. Buyer may also choose to return the Puppy to the Breeder with all AKC and/or UKC registration paperwork signing ownership back to Breeder. The cost and related expenses of returning the Dog to the Breeder shall be the sole responsibility of the Buyer. If determined to be severely dysplastic by the OFA the Buyer of the Puppy is entitled to a replacement Puppy of equal value from the next available litter. If the value of the replacement Puppy exceeds the original purchase price the Buyer will be responsible to pay that amount prior to picking up replacement Puppy. The Buyer must furnish the Seller documents from the OFA stating such condition along with Veterinarian Certificate that the Puppy has been spayed/neutered. Buyer may also choose to return the Puppy to the Breeder with all AKC and/or UKC registration paperwork signing ownership back to Breeder. The cost and related expenses of returning the Puppy to the Breeder shall be the sole responsibility of the Buyer. Buyer agrees to maintain preventative care of the Puppy in regards to hip dysplasia and other skeletal diseases, such as proper nutrition (including avoiding excessive nutrition and weight gain), proper exercise. Black Powder Retrievers will guarantee that any Puppy purchased from us will be capable of receiving a CERF certification anytime after 6 months of age and a CERF exam must be completed and the results sent to CERF by 24 months of age. This guarantee expires at 26 months of age. If the Puppy/Dog is unable to obtain CERF certification due to a genetic eye disease the Buyer of the Puppy is entitled to a refund of half the original purchase price refund by furnishing the Seller documents from CERF stating such condition along with Veterinarian Certificate that the Puppy has been spayed/neutered. Buyer may also choose to return the Puppy to the Breeder with all AKC and/or UKC registration paperwork signing ownership back to Breeder. The cost and related expenses of returning the Puppy to the Breeder shall be the sole responsibility of the Buyer. We do not guarantee the breedability of any Puppy/Dog sold. Limited Registration is applied to ALL of our pet quality puppies/litters (see enclosed information on Limited Registration). The Buyer has the option of having the Full Registration restored once this guarantee is met in full, and Buyer has attained a AKC/CKC/UKC/NARHRA hunt test/working/obedience title on said Puppy. This guarantee is non-Transferable to any other persons and/or animal, other than in the original transaction. We reserve the right to have the Puppy seen by our Veterinarian. All of our Puppies/Dogs will be identifiable by DNA profile or Microchip. In any case supporting documentation for OFA or CERF is required prior to refund. It is the Buyer’s sole obligation to have the x-rays taken and submitted. The Breeder reserves the right to have the Dog x-rayed and reevaluated. If the Puppy undergoes surgery or treatment prior to the evaluation of the x-rays by the OFA, and before the Breeder has the opportunity to relinquish the right for reevaluation, this contract will be void. There are no other guarantees or warranties implied or intended unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by both Black Powder Retrievers and the Buyer. The above guarantees are not transferable to a new Owner.Any Puppy that is returned to the Breeder for any reason will be done so at the Owner’s expense. To be covered by our guarantee the Buyer has several responsibilities for the terms of the guarantee to remain in effect. This guarantee expires when Puppy (Registration # _______________) reaches 26 months of age.
